It is a habitat of the giant Andean condor, which can be seen from the viewpoints such as the Cruz del Cóndor. The canyon landscape encompasses a green valley and traditional remote villages with terraced agriculture that preceded the Incas.

Day 1: Colca Canyon 2d/1n: Arequipa –Colca Canyon
At 7:30 am, pick up from the hotel, we will leave Arequipa to go to Chivay, the most important town of Colca Valley. Along the way, we will see incredible landscapes and groups of vicunas that can be found all along this national reserve. Once we reach the highest point of the trip (4450 m.a.s.l.), we will make a stop to see the volcanoes that surround this area and we will get to enjoy the great view of the occidental mountain range. We will then be taken back to our hotel.
Day 2: Colca Canyon 2d/1n: Colca Canyon – Arequipa
We will get up very early in the morning and drive to Cruz del Condor, from this place, we will enjoy the amazing view and we will have the unique opportunity to see condors flying above and below us. We will also see the depth of Colca Canyon. Later in the afternoon, we will go back to Arequipa, on our way there we will visit the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque. We will arrive at the hotel at around 5:30 pm.
